The U.S. government routinely conducts experiments on weather modification, and has been doing so for at least half a century. Previously classified under such names as “Project Cirrus” (1947) and “Project Popeye” (1966), weather modification is no longer a secret practice.In fact, a bill (S517) was sponsored in 2005 by Texas Sen. Kay Bailey Hutchinson, a Republican, “to establish the Weather Modification Operations and Research Board, and for other purposes.” This bill did not become law. Yet, there is reason to believe that various government institutions are carrying out numerous legal and illegal weather experiments without informing the public. This isn’t just a suspicion of the United States. The Chinese government announced in April the creation of the first-ever artificial snowfall over the city of Nagqu in Tibet. The event was only one in a series of Chinese weather modification experiments that have been going on for years. China, in fact, now conducts more cloud seeding projects than any other nation. Cloud seeding through the use of silver iodide was discovered as a viable way to make rain clouds in 1946. In 1947, the U.S. military attempted to use this method to seed a hurricane, which later hit the Georgia coast near Savannah. In the mid-1960s, similar techniques were used in hopes of muddying the Ho Chi Minh Trail in Vietnam. The idea was to slow enemy troop movements through the introduction of inclement weather, and conversely to prevent foul weather over allies. But cloud seeding with silver iodide is an archaic technique compared with newer advances in nanotechnology and other methods for weather monitoring and control. Microelectric Mechanical Sensors (MEMS) and the newer Global Environmental MEMS Sensors (GEMS), are extremely tiny machines used to monitor weather patterns. No larger than dust particles, the sensors are designed to be sent up inside hurricanes and other weather systems in large numbers, reporting back data as they literally become a part of those systems. This data can later be used to improve weather forecasting and potentially control the weather through a better understanding of the complex mathematics involved in such systems. One goal is to “steer” these systems, sending them to specific targets and increasing or decreasing their size. Another extremely controversial participant in the weather modification game is the infamous HAARP antenna grid in Gakona, Alaska. HAARP, the High Frequency Active Auroral Research Program, is an enormous array of antennas inspired by the free energy experiments of 19th-century electrical playboy Nikola Tesla. Commencing sometime around 1990, HAARP was only recently declassified, and much of the current research there is said to take place in secret. HAARP fires massive amounts of energy into the ionosphere, heating and distorting a section up to 30 miles in diameter. There are various strange and frightening claims made about the project. It may be capable of shifting the position of the jetstream, which could impact global weather in ways that we still do not understand well. Other claims about HAARP, such as that it is part of a massive government mind-control operation or that it forms the main component of a giant death ray, are difficult to verify. But these theories are not as implausible as one might think. Even in the face of mountains of evidence, many people still believe that weather modification of any kind is only a fantasy. People must be aware that these technologies have been around for a long time, are indeed being used and have great potential for dangerous and unethical uses. Our planet’s weather is part of a single interconnected system and any change to it, whether natural or not, affects every other element of that system. The organizations most interested in modifying this system appear to be applying their theories in incredibly irresponsible ways.

The Neoconservative Agenda to Sacrifice the Fifth Fleet

The Bush administration has covered up and ignored dissenting Pentagon war games analysis that suggests an attack on Iran’s nuclear or military facilities will lead directly to the annihilation of the Navy’s Fifth Fleet now stationed in the Persian Gulf.

 

 

Lt. General Paul Van Riper led a hypothetical Persian Gulf state in the 2002 Millennium Challenge wargames that resulted in the destruction of the Fifth Fleet.

 

His experience and conclusions regarding the vulnerability of the Fifth Fleet to an assymetrical military conflict with Iran have been ignored.

 

Neoconservatives within the Bush administration are currently aggressively promoting a range of military actions against Iran that will culminate in it attacking the US Navy’s Fifth Fleet with sophisticated cruise anti-ship missiles.

 

They are ignoring Van Riper’s experiences in the Millennium Challenge and how it applies to the current nuclear conflict with Iran.

 

Iran has sufficient quantities of cruise missiles to destroy much or all of the Fifth Fleet which is within range of Iran’s mobile missile launchers strategically located along its mountainous terrain overlooking the Persian Gulf.

 

The Bush administration is deliberately downplaying the vulnerability of the Fifth Fleet to Iran’s advanced missile technology which has been purchased from Russia and China since the late 1990’s. The most sophisticated of Iran’s cruise missiles are the ‘Sunburn’ and ‘Yakhonts’.

 

These are missiles against which U.S. military experts conclude modern warships have no effective defense. By deliberately provoking an Iranian retaliation to U.S. military actions, the neoconservatives will knowingly sacrifice much or all of the Fifth Fleet.

 

This will culminate in a new Pearl Harbor that will create the right political environment for total war against Iran, and expanded military actions in the Persian Gulf region.

 

The Fifth Fleet’s Vulnerability to Iran’s Anti-Ship Missile Arsenal

The U.S. Navy Fifth Fleet is headquartered in the Gulf State of Bahrain which is responsible for patrolling the Persian Gulf, Arabian Sea, Suez Canal and parts of the Indian Ocean.

 

The Fifth Fleet currently comprises a carrier group and two helicopter carrier ships. Its size peaked at five aircraft carrier groups and six helicopter carriers in 2003 during the invasion of Iraq.

 

Presently, it is led by the USS Enterprise (CVN-65), the first nuclear powered aircraft carrier commissioned in 1961. It is the oldest of the Navy’s nuclear powered class carriers and scheduled to be decommissioned in 2015 when the first of the new Ford Class carriers enters service.

 

The Enterprise has over 5000 Navy personnel, and on November 2, began participating in a Naval exercise in the Persian Gulf.

The Fifth Fleet is part of Central Command which is responsible for military operations in the Middle East and Central Asia, including the military campaigns in Iraq and Afghanistan. Central Command is led by Admiral William Fallon, the first naval officer to head Central Command.

 

His appointment reflected widespread opinion that Naval forces would be central in the evolution of missions and goals in the Persian Gulf region. Robert Gates, the U.S. Secretary of Defense explained: “As you look at the range of options available to the United States, the use of naval and air power, potentially, it made sense to me for all those reasons for Fallon to have the job.” http://www.commondreams.org/archive/2007/05/15/1212/  It would be Central Command and the Fifth Fleet that would be directly responsible for carrying out a new war against Iran. As a result, it would be the Fifth Fleet that would be most vulnerable of all U.S. military assets to Iran’s arsenal of anti-ship cruise missiles.

 

The Fifth Fleet’s base in Bahrain, is only 150 miles away from the Iranian coast, and would itself be in range of Iran’s new generation of anti-ship cruise missiles. Also, any Naval ships in the confined terrain of the Persian Gulf would have difficulty in maneuvering and would be within range of Iran’s rugged coastline which extends all along the Persian Gulf to the Arabian sea.

 

Iran began purchasing advanced military technology from Russia soon after the latter pulled out in 2000 from the Gore-Chernomyrdin Protocol, which limited Russia’s sales of military equipment to Iran. http://english.pravda.ru/russia/politics/03-12-2005/9334-iran-0  .

 

Russia subsequently began selling Iran military technology that could be used in any military conflict with the U.S. This included air defense systems and anti-ship cruise missiles in which Russia specialized to offset the U.S. large naval superiority. One researcher of Russia’s missile technology explains its focus on anti-ship technologies:

 

Many years ago, Soviet planners gave up trying to match the US Navy ship for ship, gun for gun, and dollar for dollar. The Soviets simply could not compete with the high levels of US spending required to build up and maintain a huge naval armada.

 

They shrewdly adopted an alternative approach based on strategic defense. They searched for weaknesses, and sought relatively inexpensive ways to exploit those weaknesses.

 

The Soviets succeeded: by developing several supersonic anti-ship missiles, one of which, the SS-N-22 Sunburn, has been called “the most lethal missile in the world today.” http://www.rense.com/general59/theSunburniransawesome.htm

 

The SS-N-22  or ‘Sunburn” has a speed of Mach 2.5 or 1500 miles an hour, uses stealth technology and has a range up to 130 miles. It contains a conventional warhead of 750 lbs that can destroy most ships. Of even greater concern is Russia’s SSN-X-26 or ‘Yakhonts’ cruise missile which has a range of 185 miles which makes all US Navy ships in the Persian Gulf vulnerable to attack.

More importantly the Yakhonts has been specifically developed for use against Carrier groups, and has been sold by Russia on the international arms trade.

 

Both the Yakhonts and the Sunburn missiles are designed to defeat the Aegis radar defense currently used on U.S. Navy ships by using stealth technology and low ground hugging flying maneuvers.

 

In their final approaches these missiles take evasive maneuvers to defeat anti-ship missile defenses. The best defense the Navy has against Sunburn and Yakhonts cruise missiles has been the Sea-RAM (Rolling Actionframe Missile system) anti-ship missile defense system which is a modified form of the Phalanx 20 mm cannon gun .

 

The Sea-RAM has been tested with a 95% success rate against the ‘Vandal’ supersonic missile capable of Mach 2.5 speeds but does not have the radar evading and final flight maneuvers of Russian anti-ship missiles.

However, the Sea-RAM has not yet been tested in actual battle conditions nor against the Sunburn or Yakhonts missiles which out-perform the Vandal. The Vandal is currently scheduled for replacement by the ‘Coyote’ which replicates many of the evasive maneuvers of the Russia anti-ship missiles necessary for developing an effective defense.

So great is the threat posed by the Sunburn, Yakhonts and other advanced anti-ship missiles being developed by Russia and sold to China, Iran and other countries, that the Pentagon’s weapons testing office in 2007 moved to halt production on further aircraft carriers until an effective defense was developed.

Iran has purchased sufficient quantities of both the Sunbeam and Yakhonts to destroy much or all of the Fifth Fleet anywhere in the Persian Gulf from its mountainous coastal terrain.

 

Millennium Challenge Wargames and GAO Report

In 2000, the Government Accountability Office (formerly General Accounting Office – GAO) conducted a study on the US Navy’s preparedness for anti-ship cruise missiles http://fas.org/man/gao/nsiad-00-149.htm .

 

Subtitled,  Comprehensive Strategy Needed to Improve Ship Cruise Missile Defense, the study pointed out that the “threat to surface ships from sophisticated anti-ship cruise missiles is increasing. Nearly 70 nations have deployed sea- and land-launched cruise missiles, and 20 nations have air-launched cruise missiles.”

 

The study found that although “the Navy has made some progress in improving surface ship self-defense capabilities, most ships continue to have only limited capabilities against cruise missile threats.” A subsequent military study in 2003 found that only 27 Naval ships were fitted with the Sea-RAM anti-missile defense which had performed well in tests.

The GAO study found that while “Navy leaders express concern about the vulnerability of surface ships, that concern may not be reflected in the budget [1997-2005] for ship self-defense programs.” Most importantly, the GAO study found that Navy assessments “overstates the actual and projected capabilities of surface ships to protect themselves from cruise missiles.” The GAO study’s criticism of the Navy’s capacity to satisfactorily deal with cruise missile threats was vividly illustrated in the Millennium Challenge wargames held in the summer of 2002.

 

The “Millennium Challenge” was one of the largest wargames ever conducted and wargames involved 13,500 troops spread out at over 17 locations. The wargames involved heavy usage of computer simulations, extended over a three week period and cost $250 million. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Millennium_Challenge_2002  Millennium Challenge involved asymmetrical warfare between the U.S military forces, led by General William Kernan, and an unnamed state in the Persian Gulf. According to General Kernan, the wargames “would test a series of new war-fighting concepts recently developed by the Pentagon.” http://www.rense.com/general64/fore.htm .  Using a range of asymmetrical attack strategies using disguised civilian boats for launching attacks, planes in Kamikaze attacks, and Silkworm cruise missiles, much of the Fifth Fleet was sunk. The games revealed how asymmetrical strategies could exploit the Fifth Fleet’s vulnerability against anti-ship cruise missiles in the confined waters of the Persian Gulf.

 

In a controversial decision, the Pentagon decided to simply ‘refloat’ the Fifth Fleet to continue the exercise which led to the eventual defeat of the Persian Gulf state. The sinking of the Fifth Fleet was ignored and the wargames declared a success for the “new war-fighting concepts” adopted by Gen. Kernan. This led to Lt General Paul Van Riper, the commander of the mythical Gulf State, calling the official results “empty sloganeering”. In a later television interview, General Riper elaborated further:  

 

“There were accusations that Millennium Challenge was rigged. I can tell you it was not. It started out as a free-play exercise, in which both Red and Blue had the opportunity to win the game. However, about the third or fourth day, when the concepts that the command was testing failed to live up to their expectations, the command at that point began to script the exercise in order to prove these concepts. Most significant was General Riper’s claims of the effectiveness of the older Cruise missile technology, the Silkworm missile which were used to sink an aircraft carrier and two helicopter-carriers loaded with marines in the total of 16 ships sunk. When asked to confirm Riper’s claims, General Kernar replied: “Well, I don’t know. To be honest with you. I haven’t had an opportunity to assess what happened. But that’s a possibility… The specifics of the cruise-missile piece… I really can’t answer that question. We’ll have to get back to you” http://www.rense.com/general64/fore.htm

 

The Millennium Challenge wargames clearly demonstrated the vulnerability of the US Fifth Fleet to Silkworm cruise missile attacks. This replicated the experience of the British during the 1980 Falklands war where two ships were sunk by three Exocet missiles. Both the Exocet and Silkworm cruise missiles were an older generation of anti-ship missile technology that were far surpassed by the Sunburn and Yakhonts missiles.

 

If the Millennium Challenge was a guide to an asymmetrical war with Iran, much of the U.S Fifth Fleet would be destroyed. It is not surprising Millennium Challenge was eventually scripted so that this embarrassing fact was hidden. To date, there has been little public awareness of the vulnerability of the US Fifth Fleet while stationed in the Persian Gulf. It appears that the Bush administration had scripted an outcome to the wargames that would promote its neoconservative agenda for the Middle East.

 

The Neo-Conservative Strategy to Attack Iran

Neoconservatives share a political philosophy that US dominance of the international system as the world’s sole superpower needs to be extended indefinitely into the 21st century. Part of the neoconservative agenda is to identify and overthrow states that are opposed to the current U.S. dominated international system. These originally included Iraq, Iran and North Korea. Neoconservatives view forceful diplomacy backed by military intervention as the price to pay for reigning in rogue states that support terrorism. Up until the 2003 invasion, Iraq had been the principal rogue state that was a targeted by neoconservatives. Subsequent to the US overthrow of Saddam Hussein and forceful multilateral diplomacy on North Korea, neo-conservative attention has firmly shifted to Iran.

 

In early 2006 neoconservatives within the Bush administration began vigorously promoting a new war against Iran due to the alleged threat posed by its nuclear development program. Iran has consistently maintained that its nuclear development is lawful and in compliance with the Nonproliferation Treaty (NPT). Article IV.1 of the NPT states: “Nothing in this Treaty shall be interpreted as affecting the inalienable right of all the Parties to the Treaty to develop research, production and use of nuclear energy for peaceful purposes…”

The only constraint on this “inalienable right” is that states must agree not to pursue a nuclear weapons program as identified in Articles I and II of the NPT. Since 2004, The Bush administration has been citing intelligence data that Iran is secretly developing nuclear weapons and must under no circumstances be allowed to do this.

 

Much of Iran’s nuclear development has occurred in underground facilities built at a depth of 70 feet with hardened concrete overhead that protect them from any known conventional attack. This led to the Bush administration arguing in early 2006 that tactical nuclear weapons would need to be used to take out Iran’s nuclear facilities.

This culminated in a fierce debate between leading neo-conservatives such as Dick Cheney and Donald Rumsfeld, with the Joint Chiefs of Staff which remained adamantly opposed. Seymour Hersh in May 2006, reported the opposition of the Joint Chiefs of Staff.

 

In late April, the military leadership, headed by General Pace, achieved a major victory when the White House dropped its insistence that the plan for a bombing campaign include the possible use of a nuclear device to destroy Iran’s uranium-enrichment plant at Natanz, nearly two hundred miles south of Tehran. ….

 

“Bush and Cheney were dead serious about the nuclear planning,” the former senior intelligence official told me. “And Pace stood up to them. Then the world came back: ‘O.K., the nuclear option is politically unacceptable.’

Subsequent efforts by the neo-conservatives to justify a conventional military attack have been handicapped by widespread public skepticism by the threat posed by Iran’s nuclear program, and Iran’s compliance with the Nonproliferation Treaty.

 

The International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) has stated that Iran is complying with its inspection requirements. In a statement on October 8, 2007, Mohamed ElBaradei, the head of the IAEA, dismissed the main argument used by the Bush administration when he said “I have not received any information that there is a concrete active nuclear weapons program going on right now.”

ElBaradei went on to cite U.S. military assessments that Iran is a few years away from developing weapons grade nuclear fuel that could be used for nuclear weapons.

 

 

The Bush administration, frustrated by the determined opposition both within the U.S bureaucracy, military and the international community to its plans has adopted a three pronged track strategy for its goal of ‘taking out’ Iran.

 

First Attack Strategy

 

The first strategy is to drive up public perceptions of an international security crisis by warning of a Third World War if Iran’s nuclear program is not stopped. In a Press Conference speech on October 17, President Bush declared:

 

I’ve told people that, if you’re interested in avoiding World War III, it seems like you ought to be interested in preventing them [Iranians] from having the knowledge necessary to make a nuclear weapon. I take the threat of Iran with a nuclear weapon very seriously. Bush’s startling rhetoric was followed soon after by Vice President Cheney on October 23 who warned in a speech before the Washington Institute for Near East Studies:  ”Our country, and the entire international community, cannot stand by as a terror-supporting state fulfills its grandest ambitions.”

Cheney went on to allude in his speech to military action where the US and its allies were “prepared to impose serious consequences.” He then declared: “We will not allow Iran to have a nuclear weapon.”

 

Bush’s and Cheney’s alarming rhetoric provides political cover for Israel, which is also adamantly opposed to Iran’s nuclear developments plans, to bomb its nuclear facilities.

 

On September 6, 2007 an elite Israeli Air Force Squadron launched a daring air raid and destroyed a secret Syrian facility that had allegedly received nuclear material from North Korea.

 

According to a Sunday Times report, the “Israelis proved they could penetrate the Syrian air defense system, which is stronger than the one protecting Iranian nuclear sites.”

The Syrian raid was a test run for what Israel could do against Iran’s nuclear facilities. The Bush administration has been encouraging a covert Israeli military strike against Iran given determined opposition to a U.S. led military strike. An earlier Sunday Times report from January 2007 exposed Israeli plans for airstrikes against Iran using nuclear armed bunker busting weapons in the event the U.S. did not move forward:

However, the U.S. military is also opposed to a unilateral attack by Israel which would result in a furious Iranian retaliation against American forces.

 

There were unconfirmed reports that the U.S. denied Israel the flight codes to fly over Iraqi airspace for an early 2007 air raid sanctioned by neoconservatives within the Bush administration. Currently, Admiral Fallon, the Commander of Central Command, is opposed to U.S. military strikes against Iran.

  

During his confirmation hearing in February 2007, Fallon privately confided that an attack on Iran “will not happen on my watch”

It is highly likely that Fallon would veto any Israeli attack on Iran, and deny it the flight codes it requires for flying over Iraqi airspace.

 

Second Attack Strategy

The second strategy has been shift emphasis from removing Iran’s nuclear facilities, to emphasizing its support for terrorism.

 

Given widespread military and political opposition to attacks on Iran’s nuclear facilities, the Bush administration is now depicting Iran as a supporter of terrorism in Iraq.

 

Seymour Hersh described the shift as follows:

 

“Now the emphasis is on “surgical” strikes on Revolutionary Guard Corps facilities in Tehran and elsewhere, which, the Administration claims, have been the source of attacks on Americans in Iraq.

 

What had been presented primarily as a counter-proliferation mission has been reconceived as counterterrorism.”

The change in strategy was given a powerful boost by the passage of the Kyle-Lieberman amendment by the U.S. Senate on September 26 which designated “the Iranian Revolutionary Guards Corps as a foreign terrorist organization”

This would enable the Bush administration to authorize strikes against Iranian Revolutionary Guard facilities inside Iran on the basis that they are supporting Iraqi terrorist groups targeting U.S. military forces.

 

According to Hersh the shift in strategy is gaining support from among the American military. While Admiral William Fallon has privately expressed opposition to military action against Iran, the commander of U.S. forces inside Iraq, General Petraeus, supports the Bush administration’s Iran policies.

 

Petraeus has declared: “None of us, earlier this year, appreciated the extent of Iranian involvement in Iraq, something about which we and Iraq’s leaders all now have greater concern”.

Petraeus went on to claim that Iran was fighting “a proxy war against the Iraqi state and coalition forces in Iraq.” Consequently, limited surgical strikes against Revolutionary Guards facilities might be authorized by the Bush administration.

 

Third Attack Strategy

 

The third and most dangerous strategy used by the Bush administration is to sanction a covert mission that would create the necessary political environment for a war against Iran.

 

This is arguably best evidenced in the infamous B-52 ‘Bent Spear’ incident on August 30, 2007 where five (later changed to six) nuclear armed cruise missiles were found en route to the Middle East for a covert mission.

The nuclear warheads had adjustable yields of between 5 to 150 kilotons, and would have been ideal for use against Iran’s underground nuclear facilities or in a false flag operation that would be blamed on Iran.

However, Air Force personnel stood down ‘illegal’ orders that most likely came from the White House, and averted what could have been the detonation of one or more nuclear devices in the Persian Gulf region.

Due to the Bush administration’s authority directly order military units to participate in covert missions regardless of their legality, the possibility that a covert mission will be used to provoke a war with Iran remains high.

 

Consequences of Iran being Attacked

In the naval exercises that began on Novembers 2, the USS Enterprise (CVN 65) and a helicopter carrier, the USS Kearsarge (LHD 3), are in the Persian Gulf simulating “a quick response to possible crises”

The size and timing of possible U.S. military attacks on Iran’s nuclear and/or military facilities, will influence the speed and scale of an Iranian response.

 

Iran’s response will predictably result in a military escalation that culminates in Iran using its arsenal of anti-ship cruise missiles on the U.S.

 

Fifth Fleet and closing off the Strait of Hormuz to all shipping. Iran’s ability to hide and launch cruise missiles from mountainous positions all along the Persian Gulf will make all Fifth Fleet ships in the Persian Gulf vulnerable. The Fifth Fleet would be trapped and unable to escape to safer waters.

 

The Millennium Challenge wargames in 2002 witnessed the sinking of most of the Fifth fleet. Less advanced Silkworm cruise missiles, when compared to Iran’s stock of Sunburn and Yakhonts missiles, were used in a simulated asymmetric warfare that would resemble what would occur if Iran and the U.S. went to war.

 

The sunk ships included an aircraft carrier, two helicopter carriers in the total of 16 ships that were ‘refloated’ in the exercise to produce a scripted outcome.

 

If an attack on Iran were to occur before the end of 2007, it would lead to the destruction of the USS Enterprise with its complement of 5000 personnel on board.

 

Further losses in terms of support ships and other Fifth Fleet naval forces in the Persian Gulf would be catastrophic.

 

An Iranian cruise missile attack would replicate losses at Pearl Harbor where the sinking of five ships, destruction of 188 aircraft and deaths of 2,333 quickly led to a declaration of total war against Imperial Japan by the U.S. Congress.

 

The declaration of total war against Iran by the U.S. Congress would lead to a sustained bombing campaign and eventual military invasion to bring about regime change in Iran.

 

Military conscription would occur in order to provide personnel for the invasion of Iran, and to support U.S. troops in Iraq and Afghanistan that would come under greater pressure.

 

Tensions would rapidly escalate with other major powers such as Russia and China who have supplied Iran with sophisticated weapons systems that could be used against U.S. military assets.

 

The closing of the Strait of Hormuz to all shipping and total war conditions in the U.S. would lead to a collapse of the world economy, and further erosion of civil liberties in a U.S. engaged in total war.

 

Conclusions

The above scenario is very plausible given the military capacities of Iran’s anti-ship cruise missiles and the U.S. Navy’s vulnerability to these while operating in the Persian Gulf.

 

The Bush administration has hidden from the American public the full extent of the Fifth Fleet’s vulnerability, and how it could be trapped and destroyed in a full scale conflict with Iran. This is best evidenced by the controversial decision to downplay the real results of the Millennium Challenge wargames and the dissenting views of Lt.

 

General Van Riper over the lessons to be learned. The Bush administration is also downplaying the significance of the 2000 GAO report on US Navy vulnerability to cruise missile attacks.

 

Neo-conservatives within the Bush administration are fully aware of the vulnerability of the Fifth Fleet, yet have at times tried to place up to three carrier groups in the Persian Gulf which would only augment U.S. losses in any war with Iran.

 

Yet the Bush administration has still attempted to move forward with plans for nuclear, conventional and/or covert attacks on Iran which would precipitate much of the terrible scenario described above.

 

A reasonable conclusion to draw is that neoconservatives within the Bush administration are willing to sacrifice much or all of the U.S. Fifth Fleet by militarily provoking Iran to launch its anti-ship cruise missile arsenal in order to justify ‘total war’ against Iran, and force regime change.

 

An immediate solution is to expose the neo-conservative agenda to sacrifice the Fifth Fleet and to make accountable all those responsible for it.

 

On April 24, 2007 Congressman Dennis Kucinich began circulating articles for impeachment proceedings against Vice President Dick Cheney which included among his “high crimes and misdemeanors” his advocacy of aggression against Iran.

After gaining additional support from 21 members of Congress as co-sponsors, Kucinich introduce his articles of impeachment as a privileged resolution on November 6 to force a vote  in the House of Representatives.

His privileged resolution was voted on and referred to the House Judiciary Committee for further study.

 

In addition to Vice President Cheney, President Bush also is culpable for the neo-conservative agenda to sacrifice the Fifth Fleet by militarily provoking Iran into launching hostilities that culminates in total war with the Islamic Republic of Iran. Impeachment proceedings also need to be launched against President Bush for “high crimes and misdemeanors” for approving neoconservative plan to sacrifice the U.S. Fifth Fleet through an unnecessary military provocation of Iran. A new Pearl Harbor can be averted by making accountable Bush administration officials willing to sacrifice the Fifth Fleet in pursuit of a neoconservative agenda.

USA, The Game is Over – The end is numbered in weeks

I said some time ago, the west collapse is numbered in months, not years.

I was of course wrong.

The end is numbered in weeks, not months. So a bit of a correction is in order.

It’s basically no xmas for the yanks.

Like all systems, once thrown off balance, it proceeds exponentially, not linearly.

Once the balance exceeds the damping factors, which are typically all controllable by the state economy dictators, it’s no longer just oscillation, or in econ terms “recession”, “depression” or any other cyclical phenomena caused by the nature of masturbating with the typical gov’t inputs like the price of money, bond issues, yields, capitalisation, inflation, employment, market tax and laws. Once it goes, it goes, just like any chain reaction. And from there on, the system either converges to some steady state point, which could easily be the re-assessment of the west’s collective worth and devaluation of its money accordingly or it diverges going completely off the scale.The latter is typically what happens because the west fiscal policy has always been to hyperinflate. It’s based on war and for 2000 yrs in the Eurotrash bin and the last 200 yrs since the saxon managed to disgorge on the west side of the Atlantic, they have done just that – print more and protect the dollar through war forcing the world into dollar obedience.

They’ve used several tricks like gold convertible loans, or the recently destroyed petrodollar.

However, no monopoly can exist without lethal protection and the US has used war in perpetuity to protect its monopolies, chiefly its currency monopoly designed by papa Bush and the Saudi house in the early 70s. The wars the US has instigated as a economy security measure have murdered some 20-25M people just since WWII destroying 68 nations around the globe.

The state of the matter today is that the system of the west economy is no longer in US/EU control. In fact, there exist no means to get it under control. It’s like a falling plane or a melting down nuke plant. The US and subsequently west econ system is melting down exponentially today. The gangrene from the nuked dollar monopoly in mid-2006 has spread like California wild fires through the entire west infected system from New Zealand, to the recently acquired members like Poland and Czech Republic, west Europe, the US, and its obedient war prisoner Japan. And there’s nothing the west can do to contain it.

Lowering the prime rate does nothing today. All it’s gonna achieve if anything at all is to suck the remainder of the fractional reserve right out of the US failed banking system. After having just printed 200B to float it, they’re not about to leak it on another hasty rate cut. There seems to be a row a-brewing in the US now on this very issue. Quite funny actually. It’s like air traffic controllers blaming each other for an inevitable crash.

Printing more funny money, which is what they’re doing — and in fact have now moved to a blank check scenario, which means they’ll stop publishing the enormous numbers Bush has been getting — achieves nothing but sharpens the fangs of the hyperinflation monster ready to pounce the west economies. It’s worth to mention that in just the last few months Bush has printed himself some 750B pushing the dollar M3 inflation well over 30%, which is UNHEARD of in the history of mankind, and probably in the history of the entire Milky Way, if you’re an David Icke alien believer. It’s no wonder they’re moving to a blank check now as to stop announcing these big numbers.

All the west can do now is to mitigate the damage: allocate regions for total obliteration; provide liferafts for the good ol’ boys; distribute parachutes among themselves; and beef up the preatorian guard. But still, the crash is out of their hands and coming at an exponential clip.

To this end, certain US Bush-boy banks are getting laws inked not to honour the accounts. The mainstream exposure just within the US, now cleverly hidden under the new west media word “charge”, is 1T.

Of course, the reality is that it’s probably far larger a laceration but details hardly matter anymore. The point is that the US gov’t is working overtime now figuring out who gets a liferaft and who’s gonna die with the sinking boat. Detroit and many other typically manufacturing cities in the US are now some 20-25% barren. There’s millions, some 2-5M now, waiting to go homeless in the US and again, this is exponential.

I scoped some properties on the east coast of the US recently and it’s routine now not to get an individual sales agent anymore but instead a phone number to some bank teller who are now selling the foreclosed properties en masse. Amazing retooling of an industry. Of course, more amazing is the US redneck vacant stare at it all, but…

You can imagine with the euro devouring the dollar every single day, what sort of interest the US redneck abandoned properties hold now. And it doesn’t take a whole lot of brain to figure that it’s now counted in silly qtrs before the US land is bought out right from under the yank baboons’ rumps. That’s an effective death of a nation, that is. And that’s just a tiny respect of the proceeding giant US collapse.

Watch for US companies going on sale despite Bush’s laws. With many others, GM owned up to a record sinking in some whopping 40B loss now. Either Bush prints them hyperinflated money, grants them all sorts of laws allowing them to void debts, abuse workers, ignore creditors, and gives them tax asylum they’re going leave the US union and garage sale list themselves.

By mid 2008, the US shall have been sold for the most part. I suspect Bush will maintain a stringent control on airlines since he needs those to pull his 911 pranks and some other industries run by his cabal, but I’d even predict the NYSE and NASDAQ will either go bankrupt or seek euro influx becoming someone else’s property.

Therefore all predictions that the west is gonna last for 6 more months or so were wrong. It’s far shorter than that. It may be now weeks.

And so what’s the yank to do? What can they do about their laughable implosion? I mean, an empire that failed to clock even a pitiful 300 yrs shall be but a little ugly smear in the history books, hardly worth a mention. And studied it should be for no equivalent in the mental stupidity that so screamingly abounds in the US has never and shall never ever emerge on this planet again.

But, as much fun it would be to study this yank checkered shirt redneck trailer dwelling presumably mammal with a laughable collection of state-mutilated genitals, the answer sadly remains ‘nothing’.

There’s absolutely nothing the US can do today to avert or even soften the coming big bang for the vast majority of its denizens.

Spanking Iran, the chief transgressor of the US dollar monopoly, which daringly continues to peddle now a record 85% of its oil export in anything but dollars, is as technically impossible as it solves nothings.

Hitting some 5000 strategic points within nanoseconds which include movable targets with 100% success is not a job for the yanks. Perhaps hitting an unarmed family in a bombed city and then proceeding to rape their children before burning them up with stolen gasoline is within the US military grasp but not Iran.

Never in the entire history of this truly bent child murdering nation has the US dared touch anyone even half armed. Its targets have solely been unarmed children, often “softned up” by decades of business war called sanctions. And Iran, be it whatever it is, does not at all fit that description.

This time the US, should it make this foolish mistake, would face missiles, tanks, air force, subs, satellites, and a complement some 3X the US size, all of which would promptly finish ripping the US baboon rump to unrecognizable gristle.

And even if this miracle could be achieved, it still solves nothing.

The dollar monopoly would still remain broken and even if the US, following a war with Iran, would attack and defeat Venezuela, another armed nation, it would still have to go through Russia and probably China to begin forcing its currency monopoly on the globe. No reason for drawn out details here. This is simply not pos even in Bush’s wildest erotic dreams.

And so, the west is run. As far as the eye can see there’s not a bloody thing the god damn child murdering vermin can do about it but beat its monkey fists on the floor, gather in meetings, threaten Iran, print lies, vow allegiance to Israel, and above all enjoy the helter skelter ride into the gaping abyss.

It’s no surprise Bush keeps harping, like a true loon stuck on a word as he mutters it endlessly to himself, on WWIII. Somehow, he must figure in his texas-educated mind that WWIII could be played out in Euroasia much like his grandpa staged WWII, and the US could once again step in at the end resetting the world to a dollar standard, sucking all gold out in exchange for the greenback paper.

It’s quite possible that Bush could reach the trigger out of sheer desperation but it’s far likely some general who isn’t all that keen on dying or hasn’t been invited to ride out the nuke attacks in the Virginia underground bases with the illuminati have-mores would step in.

After all, a repeat 911 attempt was derailed by a swift aerial attack in Utah by some coup force within the US gov’t, so there appears to be some resistance within the mostly crazed US to the latest Bush’s WWIII bright idea.

Dollar Slumps to Record on China’s Plans to Diversify Reserves

The dollar fell the most since September against the currencies of its six biggest trading partners after Chinese officials signaled plans to diversify the nation’s $1.43 trillion of foreign exchange reserves.

The dollar fell against all 16 of the most-active currencies, declining to the weakest versus the Canadian dollar since the end of a fixed exchange rate in 1950, a 26-year low against the pound and a 23-year low versus the Australian dollar. The New York Board of Trade’s dollar index dropped to 75.21 today, the lowest since the gauge started in March 1973.

“Further weakening of the dollar is very likely, said Teis Knuthsen, the Copenhagen-based head of foreign-exchange, fixed-income and derivative research at Danske Bank A/S, the Nordic region’s second-biggest lender. China may “diversify out of dollar holdings.

The U.S. currency slumped to $1.4704 per euro, the lowest since the 13-nation currency debuted in January 1999, before trading at $1.4671 as of 7:15 a.m. in New York, from $1.4557 late yesterday. The dollar dropped the most in two months against the yen, trading as low as 112.87 yen. The euro fell against the yen to 165.84, from 166.99 yesterday.

The U.S. dollar index may be due for a reversal, according to a technical indicator. Its 14-day relative-strength measure fell to 21.38 today, below the 30 mark, which may signal the currency’s decline has bottomed out.

In technical analysis, investors and analysts study charts of trading patterns and prices to forecast changes in a security, commodity, currency or index.

Chinese Comments

“We will favor stronger currencies over weaker ones, and will readjust accordingly, Cheng Siwei, vice chairman of China’s National People’s Congress, told a conference in Beijing. The dollar is “losing its status as the world currency, Xu Jian, a central bank vice director, said at the same meeting.

The dollar also fell to an all-time low against the synthetic euro, a theoretical value that estimates where the currency would have traded before its inception. The prior record was $1.4557 set in 1992.

The U.S. currency may weaken to between $1.48 and $1.50 against the euro by year-end, Knuthsen said.

Chinese investors have reduced their holdings of U.S. Treasuries by 5 percent to $400 billion in the five months to August. China Investment Corp., which manages the nation’s $200 billion sovereign wealth fund, said last month it may get more of the nation’s reserves to invest to improve returns.

Treasuries Rise

U.S. 10-year Treasury notes rose today as mounting credit-market losses and declines in stocks pushed investors to the safety of government debt.

“The world’s currency structure has changed,” Xu said at the conference in Beijing. Cheng, speaking to reporters after his speech, said his comments don’t mean China will buy more euros. The National People’s Congress, China’s legislature, isn’t involved in setting currency policy.

“Cheng has a history of speaking out on a range of financial market and economic developments, and his comments are not always accurate,” said Glenn Maguire, chief Asia economist at Societe Generale SA in Hong Kong.

Cheng’s remarks on Jan. 30 that China’s stock rally was a “bubble” caused the benchmark index to fall the most in almost two years the following day. The Shanghai and Shenzhen 300 Index, then over 2,500 points, has since climbed above 5,300.

The euro’s gains may be limited by speculation European economic growth may slow, reducing the need for higher interest rates.

ECB Rates

The European Central Bank will keep its key rate at 4 percent tomorrow, according to all 61 economists surveyed by Bloomberg News. Data yesterday showed manufacturing orders in Germany fell more than expected in September.

“The euro is clearly overvalued against the dollar, Emanuele Ravano, co-head of European strategy for Pacific Investment Management Co., which manages the world’s biggest bond fund, said late yesterday in Brussels. Commodity Currencies

Commodity currencies led the gains today. The Canadian dollar advanced to $1.1040. The Australian dollar gained to 93.98 U.S. cents, the highest since April 1984, from 92.87 U.S. cents. The rand rose to as high as 6.4294 per dollar, the highest since May 2006. The pound rose to $2.1052, the highest since May 1981.

The dollar’s 9.8 percent drop against the euro this year boosted the competitiveness of U.S. exports, helping shrink the nation’s trade deficit to $57.6 billion in August, the smallest since January.

French President Nicolas Sarkozy yesterday raised concern about the euro’s strength during a visit to the U.S., saying “you don’t need too weak a dollar” to spur growth in the world’s largest economy.

“This is an asset story and shows sentiment for the dollar continues to be quite negative,” said David Forrester, currency economist at Barclays Capital in Singapore.

The Australian dollar gained after the country’s central bank raised its benchmark borrowing cost to 6.75 percent today. Governor Glenn Stevens, announcing the quarter-point rate increase, said inflation will exceed the bank’s target.

Pressure on Fed

The dollar fell against the Norwegian krone as traders added to bets Norway’s central bank will increase its 5 percent deposit rate. It declined to 5.2835 kroner, from 5.3474. The dollar also dropped as losses from subprime-mortgage defaults added to pressure on the Federal Reserve to lower its target for the overnight lending rate between banks to 4.25 percent next month.

“The interest-rate outlook is dragging down the dollar against major currencies such as the euro and the Australian dollar, said Seiichiro Muta, director of foreign exchange in Tokyo at UBS AG, the world’s second-largest currency trader. “I cannot see the bottom of the dollar depreciation yet.

Interest-rate futures traded on the Chicago Board of Trade show a 62 percent chance of a quarter-percentage point Fed rate cut on Dec. 11, compared with 6 percent a month ago. Citigroup Inc. may write down an additional $2.7 billion worth of subprime- related assets, CreditSights Inc. said yesterday.

New Zealand’s dollar rose to 78.35 U.S. cents from 78 U.S. cents on speculation a report tomorrow will show the unemployment rate remained at a record low, boosting the chance of another increase to the country’s record 8.25 percent benchmark interest rate.

It’s no coincidence that the CIA is relocating the headquarters of its domestic division, which is responsible for operations in the United States, from the CIA’s Langley headquarters to Denver.

 

Constructed in 1995, the government and politicians were hell bent on building this airport in spite of it ending up vastly overbudget. Charges of corruption, constant construction company changes, and mass firings of teams once they had built a section of their work was reported so that no “one” group had any idea what the blueprint of the airport was. Not only did locals not want this airport built nor was it needed, but everything was done to make sure it was built despite that.

 

Masonic symbols and bizarre artwork of dead babies, burning cities and women in coffins comprise an extensive mural as well as a time capsule – none of which is featured in the airport’s web site section detailing the unique artwork throughout the building.

 

DIA serves as a cover for the vast underground facilities that were built there. There are reports of electronic/magnetic vibrations which make some people sick and cause headaches in others.

 

There are acres of fenced-in areas which have barbed wire pointing into the area as if to keep things in, and small concrete stacks that resemble mini-cooling towers rise out of the acres of nowhere to apparently vent underground levels.

The bunker is beneath the West Virginia wing, which includes a complete medical clinic. Construction of the facility, which began in 1959, required 2.5 years and 50,000 tons of concrete. The steel-reinforced concrete walls of the bunker, which is 20 feet below ground, are 2 feet thick.

‘US afraid of an Israeli strike in Iran’

Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad’s announcement Wednesday that Iran had 3,000 working centrifuges raised fears in Washington that Israel would respond to the statement with a preemptive military strike, the Times reported Thursday.

A centrifuge. According to nuclear experts, 3,000 working centrifuges are enough to successfully enrich uranium.

The British paper quoted military sources in the US capital as saying that the figure presented by Ahmadinejad could be the “tipping point” that touches off an IAF strike. Washington was reluctant to go forward with a strike against Iran, but Israel was a “different matter,” the officials said.

Even before the Iranian president’s announcement US defense officials told the Times that “Israel could do something when they get to around 3,000 working centrifuges. The Pentagon is minded to wait a little longer.”

Concern over an Israeli strike has been “heightened” following the September 6 strike on a target suspected to belong to a Syrian nuclear program, the paper said.

On Wednesday night, hours after Ahmadinejad’s announcement, Defense Minister Ehud Barak said a military operation was a viable option for dealing with the Iranian nuclear threat.

“We cannot take any option off the table and we need to study operational aspects,” Barak said at a Labor Party meeting in Beersheba, adding that he could not go into detail. “This is not just for the coming months but also for the coming two years,” he said.

The new developments in Iran meant Israel had to hold a serious debate on the issue, Barak said. “We need to have a comprehensive discussion and to act when it comes to thwarting, gathering intelligence and imposing sanctions,” he added.

Barak reminded his audience of Military Intelligence’s assessment that Iran, if not stopped, could obtain a nuclear weapons by the end of the decade.

“Intelligence officials gave us an estimate that things are moving forward, and the assessment is that it will take between three and four years,” he said. “That goes by very quickly.”

Barak said the world needed to take additional diplomatic action against Iran as well as economic steps that would cut off funding for the country’s nuclear program.

Ahmadinejad announced that Iran has achieved a landmark, with 3,000 centrifuges fully operational in its uranium enrichment program.

“We have now reached 3,000 machines,” Ahmadinejad told thousands of Iranians gathered in Birjand, eastern Iran, in a show of defiance of international demands to halt the program believed to be masking the country’s nuclear arms efforts.

Ahmadinejad has previously said Iran had succeeded in installing the 3,000 centrifuges at its uranium enrichment facility at Natanz. But Wednesday’s claim was his first official statement that the plant is now operating all those centrifuges.

When Iran first announced launching the 3,000 centrifuges in April, the UN nuclear watchdog agency, the International Atomic Energy Agency, said Teheran had only 328 centrifuges up and running at Natanz’s underground facility.

In a recent report, drawn up by IAEA chief Mohamed ElBaradei, the agency put the number of centrifuges working in Natanz at close to 2,000, with another 650 being tested.

Although Ahmadinejad was not totally precise, the tone and setting of his Wednesday speech reflected he clearly meant the 3,000 were fully operational.

Uranium gas, spun in linked centrifuges, can result in either low-enriched fuel suitable to generate power in a nuclear reactor, or the weapons-grade material that forms the fissile core of nuclear warheads.

US experts say 3,000 centrifuges are enough to produce a nuclear weapon, perhaps as soon as within a year.

Iran says it plans to expand its enrichment program to up to 54,000 centrifuges at Natanz in central Iran – which would amount to industrial-scale uranium enrichment.

Ahmadinejad on Wednesday reiterated his rejection of any suspension of Iran’s enrichment activities, or even a compromise over how Teheran will proceed beyond the 3,000 centrifuges.

“They say they’ve swallowed these 3,000 and want to reach an agreement with us on what to do, at what speed, how many centrifuges a day or week,” Ahmadinejad said of latest Western pressures.

“Our response is: ‘Who are you to make comments about the Iranian nation… Do we ask you how many machines you have?’”

He also said he had bluntly refused a recent offer to negotiate with the United States over Iran’s nuclear activities.

“I, as your representative, told those who brought the message that we didn’t ask for talks… If talks are to be held, it is the Iranian nation that has to set conditions, not the arrogant and the criminals,” Ahmadinejad said.

“The world must know that this nation will not give up one iota of its nuclear rights… if they think they can get concessions from this nation, they are badly mistaken,” he concluded.

Israeli officials said they did not believe Ahmadinejad’s claims about the 3,000 centrifuges.

Jerusalem believes the Iranian president is lying in an effort to create the impression that Teheran already has a nuclear bomb and has passed the point of no return. Teheran hopes that this will deter international resolve for tougher sanctions, according to this view. But according to the Israeli officials, not only does Israel not believe Ahmadinejad – the international community has also not been fooled.

The security cabinet convened in Jerusalem on Wednesday to discuss the Iranian nuclear program. Prime Minister Ehud Olmert and six other cabinet ministers who make up the “Iran forum” were briefed by representatives of the Mossad and IDF Military Intelligence on Teheran’s drive to acquire a nuclear potential.

Forum member Transportation Minister Shaul Mofaz was absent, as he is in Washington heading the Israeli team at the Strategic Dialogue talks with the US.

No statement was issued after the security cabinet meeting.

On Tuesday, Brig.-Gen. Yossi Baidatz, head of Military Intelligence’s Research Bureau, predicted that Iran could have a nuclear bomb by the end of 2009.

Earlier this week, Foreign Ministry director-general Aharon Abramovitch publicly criticized International Atomic Energy Agency head Mohamed Elbaradei for calling for more time for nuclear inspectors to work in Iran and for praising Teheran’s cooperation with the UN nuclear watchdog.
