America – The Newest Third World Nation

By the Earl of Stirling

The evil Bush administration has largely completed the process begun years ago of turning America, the most powerful and richest nation in history, into a Third World nation. I remember a lunch, about 21 years ago in Long Beach, California, with the president of an aerospace company, myself, and a senior foreign general. A comment by the general has always stayed with me. He said, “America is a very rich nation, it will take a lot to bring her down”. In the twenty some years after this, I am simply amazed at just how far one crooked president after another, with the assistance of our “bought and paid for” Congress has managed to take us.

Currently we have an economy that is being held together with bailing wire and glue until after the November election. Even CNBC’s Cramer, a capitalist if there ever was one, now says that the American stock market is so rigged that the average person needs to get out NOW (link to a video with him talking about this is http://www.breakthematrix.com/content/Cramer-States-the-Obvious-Markets-are-Rigged

We have just seen the early stages of systemic problems in the American economy and the global economy with the fallout from the subprime mortgage problems. The real problem is that the “policemen” of the American economy, and to a lessor extent the entire global economy, have “been asleep” at their jobs; and this has not been an accident. Laws have been changed overturning the post-Great Depression rules designed to save the banking industry from itself.

We have had a massive host of new investment vehicles created over the last few years, and in many cases even the people pushing the vehicles do not understand how they work because they have been designed to be so complex as to confuse even the experts. We have $1.2 quadrillion invested in derivates, trillions in collateralized debt obligations and structured investment vehicles ~ and many of these new forms of financial paper are shady in the extreme.

The American economy, and with it the global economy, is being deliberately set up to collapse. One can look to the traditional sources of war, economic crisis, and revolution to find the cause behind the demise of America. The global international banking families fingerprints are all over the programmed fall of America. While they had their hands in the War of 1812, and the Civil War, blackmailed Wilson to get the US into the First World War, placed their puppet FDR in the White House to control (to their designs) the Great Depression and then to bate the Japanese to attack us to get American in the Second World War, the deliberate high treason committed on 9/11 by senior Bush/Cheney administration officials was a new low. We have now experienced almost seven years of wars based on this false flag operation and we are being led into yet another war with Iran (a nation with advanced biological strategic weapons of mass destruction that can kill a third of the world). Additionally the satanic US Vice-President is in Georgia preparing to push the Russians into the coming Third World War; a world war that with current 21st Century weapons will kill most of us.

We are currently witnessing the main stream news media’s massive coverage of the Democratic National Convention, with the follow-on coverage of the Republican National Convention in a couple of weeks. This coverage is designed to convince the American public that “their vote does count”, that the American political system is working for them. This BS/hype is falling on more and more ‘deaf ears’ as more people turn to the alternative internet news sources for the truth. Americans have not forgotten that two years ago they elected a Democratic Congress to end the war in Iraq but instead the Democratic controlled Congress actually increased the funding for the war and the troop levels.

Some thirty-five years ago, we legalized bribery in America by allowing PACs (political action committees). What had been done before under the table, suddenly became legal and this allowed money to elbow out whatever influence the public had in Congress. Unless you are making tens of thousands of dollars in contributions to your congress critter don’t expect him to really care about you or your interest. The average Congressman must raise $40,000 per day for every day that he/she spends in Washington. Not even the most beautiful hooker on earth can rake in that level of money but out Congressmen and Senators do, giving a whole new meaning to the term prostitution.

We have a medical/pharmaceutical industry that is more fraud and rip off than real medicine. Most expensive pharmaceuticals are designed to “treat you” rather than to “cure you” and in fact the treatment usually brings on additional serious health problems. No one can do anything about this as Big Pharma spends untold millions every year buying off Congress.

We have a giant agricultural industry whose genetically modified food is killing off the bees and without the bees, most of us will not have enough food to survive.

A sign of a Third World country is that its systems don’t work well because the government is for sale. When you can bribe anyone in the government to get what you want, regardless of the death and suffering that it causes to the population, that is a sign of very deep sickness in the nation. No society that allows a high level of organic corruption, of the outright buying of votes in its parliament or congress, will function well. That is why so many African and other Third World nations are failed states. This is happening more and more to America.

We are in a madman’s race to see what kills us first, corporate food and medical nightmares or the ever increasing march to global war by the neo-cons.

It breaks my heart to see the great American experiment in democracy fail and fail so horribly. The first Earl of Stirling (Sir William Alexander of Menstrie) was the founder of English-speaking Canada and was the owner of what became several American states and most of Canada. The last claimant (before me) to the Earldom was Major General Lord Stirling of the American Revolutionary Army. He was a key financier of George Washington; took over Washington’s command when he would take a rare leave of absence to return to Mt. Vernon; saved Washington’s army at the Battle of Long Island (which the Earls of Stirling use to own); and gave his fortune and his life to the American nation. On my watch (as Earl), I am seeing America destroyed.

Even the rising giant of the east, China, may be not rise to its fullest extent because this time around we have an Earth which is groaning under the burden of our expansion and exploitation.

With regard to the formerly great America, the country so many aspired to join from all over the world, what is to be done about her slow demise? Can it be reversed?

  18. This is a disgusting article. America isn’t a third world nation–apparently, you don’t have enough exposure to what a third world nation is if you believe your statement to be true. Where are the rolling blackouts? The murders in the street corners? The corrupt police? The neighborhood warlords? The famine of half the populace? Epidemic outbreaks? Rodent infestations? Wake up man and admit to yourself that we aren’t as bad off as you seem to think we are.

Could America have handled recent events better? Certainly. But was the bungling so bad that you have to write this drivel? Absolutely not. I am certain, though, that if people like you keep spewing “the sky is falling” farces, we will undoubtedly find ourselves in a societal psychological depression. But perhaps that’s what you’re after.

I realize you’re trying to make a point but by definition, that’s impossible being that first world countries = USA and all its capitalist buddies, second world = Communists and the now defunct eastern bloc (so China and Cuba?), and third world doesn’t really mean poor countries. Just everyone else. Switzerland is technically a 3rd world country.

I think all experiments in western style liberal democracy will fail sooner or later becuase of the inevitable loop-holes that render the self destruction of the system. The American government is committing one mistake after the other and the latest one is the conflict with Russia. I don’t know what may keep America from continuing this current path of mistakes and destruction. God save us all. Cheers.

“Laws have been changed overturning the post-Great Depression rules designed to save the banking industry from itself.”

I get the impression you disapprove of certain aspects of free market capitalism. However, note that the current environment is nothing like free market capitalism. That is the problem – you pose no solutions but I can guess they involve even more govt, regulation, monetary policy and attempting to micro manage the economy – the very cause of the problems.

Our problems started way before Bush or the Iraq war. Bush made it worse by adding onto it more debt and I ask how do you expect things like Universal Healthcare when the federal government has nothing to give or fund it.

  37. Some of the things said were right, but only some.
There definatly needs to be a change in america, but talks about a 3rd world war is crazy. The weapon technology is just to advanced, what is the point of invading a region when in the process everything gets destroyed. Thats why the cold war was the cold war, M.A.D. Mutual Assured Destruction. Worst case scenario its a part two to the cold war, and puppet wars will be fought in small countries. It’s not just our economy that is suffering, many other countries are suffering, China’s Stock exchange has been going down too. But we only look at what is wrong here, not how much better we are doing then other countries. But thats what makes America so great, We are always looking to become better, we are never satisfied. We expect Perfection in our goverment and country. GO U.S.A, Greatest country in the history of the world, and Still IS.

  38. This was like reading an 8th grade report on current events. Seriously man, if you call yourself informed how could you really write some of this crap! I mean really, FDR was a “puppet” and people baited Japan into WWII. You really should get your facts strait. You bash the mainstream media for being bad, you are 10 times worse. I find the regular media much more liberal focused, barring fox news of course. If find you completely unfocused. You jump around in your statements tying idiotic conspiracy theories with modern day principles you have no idea about. Its your kind of scare tactics that perpetuate the scaring of American citizens. The same people who seem to convince people that 9/11 was an “inside job” (don’t get me started, as an engineer I have quite a bit to say about some peoples’ “theories”) or the same people who want to discredit our achievements a.k.a the moon landing (watch the myth busters that aired last night anyone who thinks the landing was faked). Anyone that actually believes this crap should consider moving to Canada as they have not faith in the country they live in and shouldn’t be here. For all your bellyaching, this is still the best place to be in the world HANDS DOWN. I challenge anyone else to tell me otherwise. I’ll just point to the overflow of visas continuing to pour in from the educated of the world trying to get out of whatever countries they are in.

  40. Interesting piece. Three things:

    1. Where are the citations for your claims? Just one example of needing examples is your claim that international banking families have lead is into most of America’s wars. This is an interesting, if not conspiratorial claim, and I would like to see what proof you can offer of this.

    2. Fact should be seperated from opinion. There are some things that you write as if they were well known to the world. Calling George Bush evil is certanly an opinion (even if it is widely held), but to call him evil in the first sentence assumes a readers tacit agreement over something that is explicitly an opinion. Prove why he is evil–what are the qualifications for evilness, how has he reached them.

    3. Have you ever been to a developing country? I have, and I can tell you that America is far from becoming a 3rd world nation. Take a look at general indicators and you can see that America isn’t doing so bad–GDP and GNP, political stability, economic stability (yes ours is much more stable then, say, Sudans, Cuba, even South Africa), health, crime, corruption, etc. Some statistics can be found at FreedomHouse and other NGOs.

You bring up an interesting argument, but the argument needs development. One last tip: stay away from conspiratorial overtones. There may indeed be a conspiracy, I do not know, but the tone that conspiracy theories have are filled with paranoia and, quite frankly, craziness. For example, most conspiracy theories hold that the lack of proof is proof itself, and this is emprically not true. Thus your average conspiracy theory falls flat on the lack of any positive proof.

If your article is to be taken seriously by a majority of people (not just those on Digg who carry a significant bias) then some revision is required. Note that I am not suggesting you change the point of your argument, just the way it is presented. This is meant to be friendly criticism, not flamming. I agree with some of your sentiments, but I am not convinced that you have proven that America is sliding toward becoming a 3rd World country.

  41. This is absolutely rich! In one chicken little article we have conspiracies with corporate farms, pharmaceutical companies purposefully not curing people, political action committees, international bankers, and puppet presidents. To put the icing on the cake why didn’t you just come out and say that Bush was behind 9/11. You alluded to it with the “false flag” war, but you just didn’t quite have the courage to come out and let that little gem sparkle. You sir, are why I have a great contempt for the far-left. I enjoy discussions with many different minded people, but this quality of drivel will surely drive me insane with rage one day. The world that you are lamenting is definitely not the world in which I am living; for I see opportunity and possibilities everywhere. Go cry in your corner, and have everyone feel bad for you, I’m going to go out and freakin’ do something with my life. Maybe if I bust my butt enough someday I’ll be one of those despised “wealthy” Americans who’ll pay more than my fair share in taxes, thus carrying this great country when the populist masses can’t or aren’t willing to any longer.

  42. Mc Cain’s speech last Wednesday March 26, 2008 (on US foreign relations) was already de facto declaration of war on Russia, all Moslem world, and on any country (like Venezuela) which will not willingly submit its natural resources to a “New World Order”. Curiously he embraced all other Asian countries, including China as friendly democracies. Of course it is not McCain’s view, moron like Mc Cain has no views, he was just reading the teleprompter. It is the view of some American “think tank” like American enterprise institute” or others. And this view is the “bible” will be implemented, and doesn’t really matter who will eventually be the next president of US.

  44. All the current fiscal problems that America is facing CAN NOT be blamed on President Bush. Take a GOOD look around you and you can see that these problems started when our government did NOTHING to reel in their uncontrolled spending. Any attempt to bring in legislation at the Senate and House to “balance the budget” has been soundly defeated. The House is controlled mainly by the Democrats. Pork barrel projects etc. Any household that spends more money than they make are considered by any, with good common sense, as irresponsible. Yet, our government has done this repeatedly since with every president since Franklin Delano Roosevelt. Our government has been off the gold standard and our money is based ONLY on “good faith.” It has no real value! Throughout history, any government that does NOT back its currency with gold have either been reduced to a third-world country or been taken over by socialism/communism. Our government not only has failed to “rein in their spending” but also has gone the route of “globalism”, and that means BOTH the Democrats as well as the Republicans! BOTH the Democrats and the Republicans in both the House and the Senate have NOT enacted any legislation/laws to prevent companies from “outsourcing” myriads of jobs overseas. Both parties have capitulated to the demands of multinational corporations to increase the numbers of HB-1 Visas. By bringing qualified IT workers into this country from India, China, they could “artifically” depress/control the wages of high tech industries. Where was our government, again both the Republicans/Democrats in enacting legislation/laws on mortgage lending practices.? It has now come out that MOST of the foreclosures are NOT due primarily to people who took out a mortgage that they could not keep up, with regards to payments, but rather by “fraudulent bundled mortgages” that are even now still being investigated by the US Justice Department. Several months ago, the Justice Department/FBI arrested close to 400 people involved with fraudulent lending practices in both the largest mortgage lending corporations as well as bankers/investment bankers! Our own government is intent in destroying both the sovereignty and rights of its citizens as stated in the US Constitution/Bill of Rights through the invention of the Federal Reserve (This is NOT a Government organization, but rather a group of Bankers like the Rockefellers whose main goal is to enact legislation to control the money supply in order to control the masses (US citizens), Global Warming (not proven—more geologists stating that much of the melting of the ice is most likely due to volcanic activity and the shift of the ocean currents). Take a good look at the spending records of our government at the national, state, and local levels and the number of laws to rein in our spending/to balance our budget and you will notice that NOT ONCE WAS THERE ANY ATTEMPT TO BALANCE OUR BUDGET AT ANY LEVEL OF GOVERNMENT SINCE THE TIME OF FRANKLIN DELANO ROOSEVELT! BOTH DEMOCRATS AND REPUBLICANS ALIKE HAVE NEVER ATTEMPTED OR ENACTED ANY LAW TO BALANCE OUR BUDGET! It looks like the roosters are coming home to roost and the spiritual euphism that states “what comes around, goes around” is “just starting!” The side-effects of “unbridled” greed is just beginning to take its toll on our government, our nation, and the average American household!

  45. Its scary but a very true picture. I know a lot of us will try not to believe it but if you look at it very clearly you will see its very very true and might happen sooner than you think. The debt is growing 2 fold every year and pilling a heavy burden on our economy, dollar is going down and the stock market is hostage to petty rich crooks who are manipulating the stock market as any way they want. Not to mention the ever increasing defence budget and its over use.

Dude seriously?!? Nations, even entire continents have went through economic hardships and wars for thousands of years. Black plagues, the Ming Dynasty, The rise of the greeks, Egyptians, Romans, and then Persians. The rise of the European economies, the transfer of power from the USSR to the US. I mean Japan went from a destroyed nation to one of the strongest world economies in 50 years. You people need to calm yourselves down, lay off the weed, and just do what needs to be done for you to make this country better. Voting counts. So does helping that lady in that picture.

Peasants will clean your toilet for a scrap of food and thank you for the opportunity. Make no mistake: the Bushies and their corporate overlords really want us as peasants. And the religious morons that support them are probably some of the first in line for toilet cleaning duty.

  51. Anyone who starts an article with “The evil Bush administration…” has lost all credibility for a truly serious, scholarly piece of writing. Even in the New York Times they’d never dream of starting an article off like that. This is more on par with The Post.

    Where are the rolling blackouts?
Ask PG&E and Southern California Edison–I’m sure they have a list.

The murders in the street corners?
    Compton.

The corrupt police? The neighborhood warlords?
I saw a lot of corrupt law enforcement when I lived in pre-Katrina New Orleans. Corrupt police and neighborhood warlords can be found in any big city.

The famine of half the populace?
Who do you know that actually eats nutritious food? I don’t mean cola, fast-food and potato chips. The “obesity epidemic” is actually a warning that we’re malnourished.

    Epidemic outbreaks? Rodent infestations?
Hmmm… E. Coli, avian flu, and killer bees come to mind.

Maybe I’m stretching definitions a little bit, but it’s getting there… It’s getting there.

  56. I am here to say something that most of you already know. The article is only a wake up call. Let us read more science do more science and use this time we have to be more than observers of the world. I am a beekeeper. I do see the bees dying. I have been seeing them dying since I started keeping them in 1979. I know why they die. I get calls from pesticide applicators everyday and they tell me that they must spray to keep the plants alive that my bees are feeding on to keep the farmers from loosing money on their farm goods. The counties say you must register the bee locations so you can get notified when a spray is going to be applied. That sounds like good thing but it isn’t? When I do register, I get the calls to move them or loose them. I tell them that I have 10 loads of 112 hives in each location or more. I keep them in different locations all within a 25 mile radius of where I live in Fresno CA. I get calls from applicators (crop dusters) referring to the fields that need spraying and they say that they will spray withing 48 hours and I must move the bees. It is not possible to move the bees. They are configured to collect nectar and this equipment must come off prior to moving the bees or they don’t fit on the truck. Honey boxes must be removed in order to get the bees out of the way of the sprays because the hives are too heavy for the truck or too tall for the highway over passes. The sprays will be everywhere in the area except the mountains. (Where there are bears {even if the locations were available, which the forest service refuses to allow but a few, bear fences, skunks, poisonous plants …} to eat the bees and extreme expense to get them there even if I could move the over 1000 hives of bees in the 48 hours allowed me (which is too expensive and not enough hours in the day or night as it is the time I must work to keep the bees alive and in the hives)
There is no safe place left to move them to. Starvation or poison is my constant. I did try to keep up with all the moves for the first few years and realized that the lip service that the counties are giving the public over concern for the bees is a sham. After 29 years of this stuff I am now tired. I long for the death of all of the bees only if this would be the wake up call to stop the madness of pesticide. If they must die then so will I, for I see no hope of a future in which bees can live with this much pollution of their food and ours.
But there is hope! Organic farming practices are a real solutions to the problem, but only a small portion of our food is produced in this way. I would like to call upon all that read my words to head the call to protest against the practice of using these chemicals on anything we use. We can afford to let a few bugs eat too. Start by not buying the things that are made from this method of farm practices. File lawsuits to stop these operations from continuing. Complain about the smell, taste, environmental damage and keep it up until something happens. Better yet, grow your own food as much as you can. Require that farms provide habitat for spieces to exist near rivers and along roads and make it mandatory that all farms have natural areas where good bugs can have food from native plants. Make the farmers not want to spray for fear that the material used will make their products unsellable. Hold yourself responsible to change the future and know that the future is changeable. In the near future we will have the ability to build farming micro machines that will do the job of keeping the bugs at bay without poisoning the very food we are going to eat. The food produced by pesticide spraying is less nutritious than organic foods, (less antioxidants in food not bitten by bugs)(plants make more antioxidants to keep the bugs from eating too much). I am at calfbman@gmail.com
By the way, I would not mind it if someone was to tell the powers that be to stop all of the Chinese honey that undermines our sales locally. Not only is it a waist of fuel but a huge loss for our industry. At very least they could level the playing field a bit by enforcing the current laws regarding trade rules pertaining to dumping their honey on us at a very low price for what is considered to be a polluted product by most observations so far.

  57. Don’t believe any of the economic and liberal paranoia in this article. Blaming every hardship in American history on some conspiracy to control the government is completely ridiculous. We are in a world wide economic slow down look at the stats it’s not just America. Everyone is going to be hit in some way by this but don’t worry the economy will most likely correct itself. If it doesn’t we have the tools (thank you Keynes and Friedman) to correct it. Living in fear will not help you. Why don’t you stop cowering and blaming the government for everything and go out a be productive.

You didn’t know that 9/11 was an inside job? Maybe you are the ones that need an education. I’d say this guy is dead on with just about all of it. When money moves the world, that is how the world usually works. People buy their way into things. When something can’t be done with votes, the votes are bought. Duh. I can’t believe how incredibly naive you all are and at this point !! After 9/11, after Iraq war, after afghanistan war…what is going to take to convince you that money rules the world? USA is not a democracy or a republic it’s the free market which means EVERYTHING AND ANYTHING CAN BE BOUGHT. Your slavery can be bought and is being bought. Your highways are being bought. Your congressman are being bought as well the president and everyone else. Including the scientists who, for the right amount of money, will tell you that 9/11 was done by Al Qaeda madmen who wanted nothing more than to just die. Because dying is fun and even you don’t get anything from it, it’s still real fun. lol

In the last three years of my life my job has allowed me to travel to many different countries, including the Philippines, China, Australia and countries throughout the middle east, and have worked alongside Indians, Sri Lankans, and Philippinos and I am telling you right now America is STILL the greatest countries there is. Although Australia is absolutely wonderful, I have nothing but good things to say about Australia but I would be hard pressed to give up my American citizenship to liver there or anywhere else for that matter. On contrary to popular belief people outside the US still look up to us. Most people form India, Sri Lankans and so on would do anything to come to America. The United States is not where near being on its way to being a third world country. As far as the economy goes, it just follows in its natural cycle. I mean come on its basic high school economics. If it’s so bad explain my IRA averaging 12% in the last 6 years. If you have doubts about America, all jokes aside, move out. Love it or leave it.

People take for granted what they have, and actions are no longer ‘en vogue’ – make way for whining. Not only whining, but whining on an internet that either you can afford to pay for, or afford to travel to and use, while real third world countries live on an average of less than $2 a day.

Also, I thought good journalism is supposed to be unbiased. You’ll reach more people if you don’t push them away so deliberately. Or perhaps the goal is not to reach people, but to assert how right you are. Gah.

  71. Hmmm I think that there is no such thing as a democracy founded by virtue. The nature of a republican democracy is one of deals between competing parties, this is its true strength. Such a system creates sections where so called “corruption” can take place, without destroying the very system they seek to gain. Yes it is an imperfect system, but to paraphrase “democracy is the best choice out of all the least desirable forms of government”, or something to that affect. As long as the mechanisms are there to re-right the system along a more steady path, then the future can be bright.

America cannot stay strong in perpetuity, it is a very dynamic state, with responsibilities that many cannot fathom. Would you rather have a Clinton, who responded extremely weakly to Bin Lain during his term? A President has very little power in government, just try to satiate the desires of hundreds of self-interest groups at once! Corporations too have very little power, they are beholden to the very populace, that hold shares in their company, whom you are blogging to for help. No one has even a majority of power, ever. Complex human society is akin to a living organism, with sub molecular type forces at work. Just try to think, is the heart solely responsible for the health of the body?

  72. The following quote is from “The Republic of Plato” (Oxford University Press) by Francis MacDonald Cornford”

” The Ultimate Problem of Politics

How can the state be so ordered as to place effective control in the hands of men who understand that you cannot make either an individual or a society happy by making them richer or more powerful than their neighbours? So long as knowledge is valued as a means to power, and power as a means to wealth, the helm of the ship will be grasped by the ambitious man, whose bible is Machiavelli’s “Prince”, or by the man of business, whose bible is his profit and loss account.”

  74. Although I do agree that the United States isn’t in a great economic situation, at present, I think your viewpoint would be even more effective without the trigger words, such as “evil”,”policemen”, “bought and paid for Congress”, etc. Facts are powerful enough to speak for themselves.
I agree that these are challenging times for the US, indeed the world. The consequences of nonreflective, rapid progress is coming back to haunt us, and the innocent, many wildlife species, are paying the heaviest price for humankind’s idea of “civilization.” I sometimes am dismayed to contemplate that the only two species that might be left are the human and cockroach, (OK probably mosquito, also).
At the same time, average persons need to start acting more empowered and to not let the political and corporate powers, a slim minority of the world’s population, run and ruin our lives, or that of our beloved descendents.
It does sadden me, though, that I agree that America is turning into a third world nation, as more and more of the popuation slips between the cracks of barely middle class and down to below the poverty line.

  79. Your article was quite logical but I think you miss the one thing, 3rd world war, which is going to be the first kid of nuclear world war i international scale. It will not start with Iran, it has started a little. USA has attacked 2 countries so far, with ready to attack 3rd. Not to mention the continuous fingering to Russia and North Korea and Pakistan. USA has forgotten that there is one more big power emerging in this world, its political system is very opposite of what you have in USA, also known as known as world’s biggest developing economy. I am talking about China. Germany before first world war has a man as it ruler who expanded Germany either by attacking other countries or by interfering into them using their foreign policy. Then before WW2, Hitler was so much powerful that he started attacking other countries (of course, MNCs helped him a lot) as if ha had forgotten about UK. Now this trend is emerging again and USA has forgotten that he is not the only one powerful nation, there is one more, going to stand in its path and when it will happen, well gentlemen. buckle your seat belts for this ride of WW3 will be what you have never seen, not even in Hollywood movies.

No, media has not only forgotten about John Ron Paul, it has also forgotten Ralph Nadar. People think November elections will ease everything and they will get back the original USA, they will not. The degradation of USA has started and election will not save them. I don’t trust Obama either. I don’t think he ever said he will take down the unconstitutional Federal Reserve Bank system.

If the Democrats would wake up and quit the blame game, assume some of their share of blame, things could get fixed alot faster. If Clinton wasn’t asleep at the wheel to begin with we wouldn’t of started the long steer off the road. And Vets have been sleeping under bridges long before Bush got into office. And we’ve been working on becoming a third world country for many years now. While Japan is working on getting their fourth bullet train, here in Seattle we’re still fighting over how to fix an aging viaduct and whooping it up over another carpool lane ! We all need to get a grip and quit blaming the republicans about things, we’re all at fault. Bush didnt create this lousy economy we all did. With full respect, I cannot agree with your views on this topic.

In a true third world country, the majority of families are deprived of sufficient food, clothing, adequate accommodation, electricity, perhaps running water, education opportunities or access to satisfactory health care.

Given that the majority of Americans which I have met have clothes on their backs and do not appear to be malnourished, I would say that your nation is a long way above third world status.

You should be thankful for what you have. In addition to very high living standards, your citizens enjoy ample opportunities for education and employment, as well as a very high level of political and economic freedom.

To be sure, America does have serious problems with debt levels, and that is a growing concern for your country. But your country has much to be thankful for, and your citizens should be thankful for the abundance of freedom and opportunity which they enjoy.

    Cheers

  94. America was never a democracy. It was and always has been a representative republic. The “founders” yearned for a more equal footing in order to protect the minority–the rich–from the masses.
For more on this issue, I recommend Charles Beard’s ‘An Economic Interpretation of the Constitution of the United States.’
Also, Gore Vidal has also recently mentioned that America has never been a democracy–of which he is 100% correct. If this were a democracy then we would have true control over voting instead of merely voting for the House of Representatives, as such a house is the only we control by vote. The Senate is controlled and voted for by state legislature while the Executive branch is dominated by the Electoral College–of which the members could vote any way they choose while we voters ‘influence’ their decisions–and the Supreme Court is dominated by the Executive branch and overwhelmingly the Senate–as the House’s decision regarding a Supreme Court Justice can be overturned by the Senate and the President.
The House is the weakest sector of the government and the only sector the populace controls.

    We’re up shit creek.

Read “Day of Deceit: the Truth About FDR and Pearl Harbor” by Robert B. Stinnett, who served in the US Navy from 1942 to ‘46. We knew they were coming. FDR wanted to get us into the war. We tracked Japanese ship movements for years across the Pacific, using radio direction finding, the “signature” of various radio operators, broken codes, etc. We knew what they were up to and we even sold them fuel up to the last minute. Some of the aviation gasoline used by the Japanese planes against American soldiers and civilians was made in the refineries of the San Francisco Bay area. It wasn’t quite a “false flag” operation but it might as well have been one.

There is, in the midst of todays seeming disparities, more wellness going on then ever in human history and a new paradigm in conscious awareness of change that is taking place. The real thing that has been growing for the past few decades is realistic change in the Spiritual beliefs of the masses. People, individual & collectively, are coming to know that dogmatic rules & regulations in the larger, organized religious groups are based on myths and other peoples stories and true Spirituality simply lies within each of us; GOD – G ood O rderly D irection. The truth is that should you attempt to label this wonderful inner self, you limit it’s essence and thus……miss the true meaning if unconditional Love.

Spend time discovering your true self, your true inner self —really, ALL is well! But, if you choose to stay in the mental realms of negativity and depression. do remember that that is your choice also. Whatever your choice, it is yours — and it is your inner life’s experience.

  105. The Earl of Stirling is 100% RIGHT about all this!

911 WAS an “Inside Job” and it was the Israeli Mossad that pulled it off. The WTC was blown up using Fourth Generation Atom Bombs and Larry Silverstein admits that HE gave the order to blow up building 7 in a PBS interview. If he KNEW that building 7 had been pre-wired for a Controlled Demolition, then he knew that buildings 1 and 2 were also prewired!

It seems like the article by the Earl of Stirling just went over everybody’s heads. What has happened since 2001 because of the lies of the Bush Administration and selling the country down the drain is going to make us a Third World nation when it all hits the fan.

Bush admits that he SAW the “first plane hit the first building” and the only way he could have seen that was if he had a camera hooked up IN ADVANCE WAITING FOR THAT TO HAPPEN! That means he was one of “the plotters” yet people just can’t seem to get their heads around that. You can read his statement on the White House web page.

There’s NO WAY that “19 Arab terrorists” could have broken into four different airliner cockpits with box cutters. How can Americans believe such a stupid story? NONE of their names were on the lists of passengers that day. And 13 of them have been found alive and well. How could they have committed suicide on 911 if they are alive and well today?

There is NO wreckage of any airliner at the Pentagon and flight 77 wasn’t scheduled to fly that day. Ted Olsen was lying when he said his wife called him from that plane because the Pentagon was hit by three cruse missiles rather than an airplane. There were no seats, no luggage and no tail section at the Pentagon. You can SEE the three exit holes on the inside of the Pentagon where the 3 missiles came out the other side. The Medical Examiner in Virginia who went to the Pentagon to collect bodies was turned away and not allowed to look for bodies because there weren’t any! Wake up people and pay attention.

Thee is NO airplane wreck in that empty field in Pennsylvania. At a REAL airplane crash you always find the tail section at least, and usually seats, wings and engines, but NONE of that was in the “empty field” in Pennsylvania or at the Pentagon. How is it that millions of people THINK they see an airplane there just because Fox News keeps pretending it was there? Here’s what the real Osama bin Laden said about 911:

“I have already said that I am not involved in the 11 September attacks in the United States. As a Muslim, I try my best to avoid telling a lie. I had no knowledge of these attacks, nor do I consider the killing of innocent women, children and other humans as an appreciable act. Islam strictly forbids causing harm to innocent women, children and other people. Such a practice is forbidden even in the course of a battle.” “It is the United States, which is perpetrating every maltreatment on women, children and common people . . .” Osama bin Laden – September 2001.

How can millions of intelligent Americans believe that steel buildings just fall down for no reason the way building 7 did that day? How can they not believe their own eyes when they SAW building 2 explode? They told us that the building “melted” and yet you can SEE the explosions going off. Have we become a nation of idiots?

They lied to us people and the Earl of Stirling told us the truth, yet many people made posts here ridiculing him for telling the truth. I guess people did that when folks tried to tell them the world was round a thousand years ago too.

Israel attacked the USS Liberty in 1967 and murdered 34 American sailors to try to blame it on Egypt, but they got caught yet the Jewish media failed to tell us that Israel did it and LBJ kept it quiet.

Israel attacked and bombed that bar in Berlin when Reagan was President and the French intercepted the signal sent from Libya and realized it was the Israeli Mossad that was sending the message, NOT “Libyan terrorists” as the Jewish media told us here in the US. France wouldn’t let Reagan fly bombers over their country from England to bomb innocent people in Libya, so Reagan used an aircraft carrier to bomb Libya, killing over one hundred innocent people.

Israel blew up Pan Am 103 and blamed that on Libya too!

Israel shot down TWA 800 trying to blame that on Palestinians, but the FBI covered it up instead.

When the “5 dancing Israeli Mossad agents” were arrested by the FBI on 911 after being set up in Advance to photograph the buildings blowing up at the WTC, they tried to blame 911 on “Palestinians” but that didn’t work. When they got back to Israel and on TV they admitted that their job had been to “document the event” but how did they know there was going to BE AN EVENT TO DOCUMENT unless they were involved?

Do you have to draw you folks a picture before you get it?

Israel is NOT our friend. They are our worst enemies and they proved it on 911 by murdering 3000 of us this time instead of only 34 like they did when they attacked the USS Liberty in 1967.

All of these “False Flag” operations have been done to make Americans hate Arabs, and it looks like you all are falling for it. Shame on you for being so stupid.

You are giving up your Christian religion to hate Arabs, and suckers for falling for the lies of the Jews. Are you out of your minds?

And can I live there too? Because ALL I see is corruption EVERY WHERE in the U.S. – how can you NOT see this? The only thing we do have left at this point is our freedom but that is going away too.

  110. I give the American Middle Class about twenty years to live. Soon we will have a few rich, elite and then everyone else.

Everyone Else will live in government-subsidized apartments/slums/rental units, have to live on government price-controlled rations, watch state-controlled TV, deal with rolling blackouts and get the crappy government healthcare and get only basic education in severely neglected schools.

The elite will tear down most of the current tract housing and build huge McMansions, with huge pools, 3 car garages, home theaters filled with the latest Japanese/Korean Electronics. They will have there own TV channels, not expected to watch the propaganda/advertisement strewn “regular channels”, which they’ll watch on 60-inch TV screens. They will drive Jaguars and Hummers. They will eat Russian Caviar, French Champagne, English Marmalade, and Italian Spring water. They’ll be educated at special “private” schools, get guaranteed state childcare, and only the best medical care. They will have solar panels/Uninterruptible power supplies to deal with the blackouts. Most of these elites will work for the government, telling everyone else how to live there lives, to worship the elite and that everyone else is to dumb to make there own disisisions and “Uncle Sam knows whats best for you!”
